The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) yesterday declared as unconstitutional the declaration of political autonomy by the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP).Addressing journalists in Abuja to announce the association’s preparation for its 52nd annual general conference, NBA’s President, Chief Joseph Bodurin Daudu (SAN), said the constitution did not allow any part of the country to secede.Full story...

Okey Wali Declared President-elect of Nigeria Bar Association
The leadership baton at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) changed hands as Okey Wali (SAN) was declared the newly elected president of the association. The umbrella body of lawyers admitted to practice law in Nigeria held their election in Abuja where new national officers of the body emerged. Full story
