Nigeria: Southern States Raise Hope On East-West Railway

Commissioners for Transport from 17 states of the South-west, South-east and South-south have met to strategise on the construction of the Lagos to Calabar rail line. The meeting has raised the hope of realisation of the project also known as East-West Railway. Held in Calabar, Cross River State, at the instance of BRACED Commission, the meeting was also attended by special advisers and senior transport officials from the Southern States. BRACED is an acronym for Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo and Delta.Full story...
