Osun: PDP warns ACN Not to Plunge Judiciary Into Chaos

The South-West chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) not to plunge the nation's judiciary into further chaos with its alleged plot to impose a Lagos-based judge as the Chief Judge of Osun State. The South-West PDP, in a statement signed by its publicity secretary, Honourable Kayode Babade, said it was aware of a grand plot by ACN leaders in Lagos to cripple the judiciary in some states under their control, because “they could not purchase the judges there.”

I Am Not His Excellency, Aregbesola Tells Osun People

Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, has urged the people of the State to stop using the title “Excellency” in any forum (both private and public) while addressing him describing its usage as an aberration of the political system. Speaking yesterday at the this year’s Ramadan lecture organised by the The Muslim Association of Nigeria(MAN) at the Osogbo City Hall, Igbona, Osogbo, Aregbesola maintained that only God should be called with  that appellation and not any human being because God is the only Alpha and Omega of the universe. Full story...
