Executive Bill in Ogun Assembly Not For Bond, Says ACN

THE Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Ogun State has assured that the Governor Ibikunle Amosun-led administration would not succumb to “orchestrated mischief” by the opposition parties to distabilise the government through peddling of falsehood. The party’s reaction came on the heels of speculations by the opposition parties that Amosun’s government had initiated moves in the State House of Assembly to obtain N100 billion bond from the Stock Market. Among the allegations was that the governor chattered a private jet to Saudi Arabia for his lesser hajj at the cost of N26 million. Full story...

Indications have emerged that the National Assembly Caucus of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) is facilitating a resolution of the crisis in the party. The leader of a faction of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, Alhaji Sadiq Massalla, told journalists Wednesday that a joint peace committee made up of the party’s lawmakers in the National Assembly and some eminent party leaders have swung into action to explore a lasting solution to the intra-party squabble afflicting APGA.
