THE police in Lagos have arrested two members of an armed robbery gang that terrorised many parts of Lagos about two weeks ago.The arrested suspects, Rasheed Suleiman and Kazeem Erinfolabi, were apprehended by men of the state Special Anti Robbery Squad during a raid on a hideout in Dopemu area of Alimosho.The robbery suspects, alongside the three members of a kidnapping syndicate, who kidnapped an employee of Dangote Group of Industries were, on Tuesday afternoon, paraded before newsmen by the spokesperson in charge of the state police command, Ngozi Braide

The Special Task Force (STF), has arrested and paraded a student of the Ahmadu Bello University(ABU), Zaria and two others for alleged armed robbery and car theft.Parading the suspects before newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State capital yesterday , the STF spokesman said that on Tuesday at about 11pm, men of the Special Task Force at Dogon Karfe area of the city, received information from one Mr Nandom Nazing of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps(NSCDC) had his car, a Peugeot 206 snatched at gun point at British-America Junction of Jos North Local Government Area by suspected armed robbers. Bank Robbery in Kwara Leaves 2 Dead

Gunmen Raid Jalingo Corpers Lodge
Gunmen on Wednesday night attacked corps members living in the Family House of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, carting away laptops, phones and money.One of the victims, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “We were about 20 corps members in the lodge when it happened. All our phones were taken away.“Some of us had more than one phones. Our monthly feeding allowance, which we contributed, was also taken away by the evil men.”

THE Joint Military Task Force code-named: Operation Pulo Shield, yesterday announced that it has intercepted a cache of arms and ammunition in the Ajudaibo community in Warri-South Council of Delta State following a stop-and-search operation, leading to the arrest of three persons, including a woman.The seizure, made on Sunday, September 1, by soldiers attached to the 3rd Battalion of the Sector 1 Command of the JTF and led by Lt.-Col. AS the fight against violent crimes continues to record successes, Anambra State Police Command yesterday arrested two suspected armed robbers who have been terrorising residents in the state.The state Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Ballah Nasarawa, who disclosed this during a press briefing at the command headquarters, Amawbia, also said the gang leader, Olisa Ifejirika and one other member were arrested at Ifite, Oraifite in Ekwusigo Council of Anambra State.

Police Officer, Two Robbers Killed in Apapa
